Getting My Own Address Program

The Getting My Own Address (GMOA) program helps people with disabilities make a housing plan and get a home of their own.

Getting My Own Address (GMOA) is a program available from the Community Housing Network to educate and assist individuals with any disability, their families, and other natural and professional supports in creating a successful long-term housing plan that can be implemented at a time of choice or need.

The GMOA program and guide was compiled with input from individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, and their families and supports (including teachers, transition coordinators, supports coordinators, caregivers and others).

The program makes clear the steps, options and choices that are available to plan for housing in the community of one’s choice. It’s never too early to make a plan!
